Description
A black and white shot of cloud drifting around the summits of Mt Huayna Potosi (6088m / 19,975ft). The peak is one of the most popular climbs in Bolivia and by mountaineering standards a relatively non technical 6000m peak. The right hand or North Peak is the highest and most often climbed, the South Peak is slightly lower (5960m / 19,550ft) but more challenging and is usually climbed via the steeper French Route / Ruta Frances directly up the ice face. On the rocks on the right you can see the stone climber's refuge at the high camp. The peak is part of the Cordillera Real range and easily reached from the capital La Paz.
