Description
The stunningly colored Red-legged honeycreeper (Cyanerpes cyaneus) is common throughout tropical America from Mexico southwards to Brazil and northern Bolivia, though absent from high mountain areas. 11 subspecies are recognised, this is Cyanerpes cyaneus carneipes which in found in Central America (this shot was taken in Panama).
