Description
Cornwall in south west England was home to one of Europe's largest mining industries in the 19th century; tin was a very important mineral. The remains of mine workings dot the countryside, such as the ruins of the Wheal Jenkin mine here on Bodmin Moor, an area of moorland and uplands in the centre of the county.
