Description
Mt Huayna Potosi (6088m / 19,975ft) reflected in the still waters of Laguna Milluni after an overnight winter snowfall. The peak is part of the Cordillera Real or Royal range and is one of the most popular climbs in Bolivia. The red color in Lake Milluni is the result of contamination from nearby mines - Milluni used to be the main smelting centre for many tin mines in the area, several of which are still exploited by cooperatives.
