Description
A piece of graffiti / art entitled Latido Mestizo / Mestizo Heartbeat on the rusting firebox of an old steam train in the train cemetery in Uyuni in SW Bolivia. Uyuni was founded in 1890 as a railway junction and used to be a major railroad centre in its heyday. Those days have long since passed though trains still pass through. The steam trains started to be replaced by diesels in 1958, just outside the village dozens of steam engines coaches and wagons lie rusting in the old railway yards as a reminder of days gone by.
