Description
A view of the Torre do Relogio / Clock Tower in the centre of the historic town of Caminha in the far north of Portugal. Caminha has a long history; the Romans had a military settlement here and in the 13th century King Afonso III built a new castle and fortifications around what at the time was a fishing village. The tower was originally the old castle keep and part of the town's defences. The clock was added in the 17th century. The building on the right is part of the Town Hall.
