Description
A horse and cart wait for business in front of once grand old colonial buildings in a street in the Cuban port of Cienfuegos on the island's south coast. The modern city was founded in 1819 and rapidly became an important port due to its strategic location on Cuba's south coast and proximity to large sugar plantations. Often called "La Perla del Sur" / "Pearl of the South", its Urban Historic Centre was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2005.

Thank you Tina, I thought Cienfuegos was a fascinating city, lots to see in area and was somewhat off the tourist routes at the time.
