Description
A couple take a break from sightseeing on the steps of the main entrance to Porto's Se do Porto cathedral. One of the city's most important historic buildings, it sits on a hilltop in the heart of the Old Town. It was originally built in the 12th and 13th centuries in the Romanesque style, and has since been enlarged and modified several times. I'm not quite sure what creature the unusual carved stone handrail is supposed to be, it looks like a snake with the head of maybe a dog. The plaza and terraces around the cathedral are great places to relax, and have superb views over the city.
