Mud flows and moraines on the western flank of Acotango, a 6052 metres / 19,856 ft high stratovolcano that is part of the Kimsa Chata / Quimsa Chata (3 peaks in Aymara) group on the Bolivia / Chile border. Acotango itself is most often climbed from the Bolivian side of the border where the access is easier. This view was taken from Lauca National Park, Chile which is also part of the Lauca Biosphere Reserve, recognised by UNESCO in 1981.
