Description
A view across the Andean foothills to Mt Huayna Potosi (6088m / 19,975ft) after an overnight winter snowfall. The mountain is part of the Cordillera Real range and is one of the most popular climbs in Bolivia. Fresh snow (during the winter dryer season the result of cold fronts) transforms the hills and altiplano grasslands into a harsh yet strangely beautiful white landscape; if the clouds clear the snow on the lower ground quickly disappears in the sun.
